Creating a Purposeful Life and Successful Business

I live in a small house on a hill in beautiful Bucks County, Pennsylvania. When the leaves are down, we can see the old stone church and the horses and cows on the farm beside the churchyard on the next hill. Our front windows face west, and on some days when the sun sets, the splendor in the sky nearly takes my breath away.

It’s a peaceful feeling. Not only where I am physically but who I have become. And it was, and still is, a difficult journey, I assure you. A journey to discover my essence as a man.

With the help of many fierce and encouraging mentors, I began transferring the lessons I was learning about where I came from and what I valued—into how I did business. And I began sharing those lessons with other men, joyful with the progress we were all making as we became better friends, husbands, fathers, community partners—and business people. Inspired and eager to share this work, I earned a certification as a Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC), founded a purpose-driven community organization, and organized several charity and peace events. In 2022 I sold my company, Odell Painting and Home Preservation, to two of my former employees, and now devote more time to clients ranging from artists to artisans, tradespeople, and other small-business owners in what I think is the most meaningful coaching out there.
